When Vitals Instant Search is not the right fit
- Searching by vendor, product type or other fields. Results are based on the product name.
- Your own search ranking. Instant Search uses Shopify's predictive search, so Shopify decides the order of results. It is not a separate search engine.
- Every matching product in the dropdown. A product that Shopify ranks lower may not appear in the Instant Search dropdown. Shoppers can select See more results or press Enter to view the full results on your store's search page.
Having a powerful search feature in your store will definitely make your visitors' lives easier and help them find the right products in no time.
The Instant Search app uses Shopify's predictive search and highlights frequent searches to help your visitors navigate your store with ease. You can even choose to hide out-of-stock products or show the Review Star Rating Snippets to enhance your visitors' experience further.
Please keep in mind that when using Shopify's predictive search, the Instant Search app will only show results based on the product name, not vendor, type, etc.
