How to Create a Manual Email Campaign in Vitals

The Email Marketing app not only automates emails for marketing flows but also lets you send manual email campaigns for time-sensitive promotions, such as flash sales, restock announcements, and more!


Step 1: Start a New Campaign

  1. Go to the Campaigns tab in the Email Marketing app.
  2. Click "Create New Campaign".

πŸ“Œ Note: Your past campaigns will be listed here with key metrics such as email deliveries, open rates, and click rates.


Step 2: Choose a Template

βœ” Pick from 50+ pre-designed templates, categorized into 25+ themes.

βœ” Preview a template before selecting it.

βœ” Click "Select" to proceed to the email editor.


Step 3: Edit the Email Template

Use the drag-and-drop email builder to customize your template:

βœ… Upload & rearrange images

βœ… Change colors, alignments, and styles

βœ… Embed specific products directly into the email

πŸ’‘ Advanced Customization: Click "See Variables" to insert dynamic elements like customer names or product details.

πŸ“Œ Save your design and click "Next" when you're satisfied.


Step 4: Schedule the Campaign

Here, you can:

βœ” Set an internal name for the campaign (visible only to you).

βœ” Select the recipient list (targeted customers).

1 New Customers Customers with 0 orders
2 Existing Customers Customers with >0 orders
3 Customer account disabled status Customer has no account
4 Customer account enabled status Customer has an account
5 Customer account invited status Customer received an account invitation sent from Shopify admin but didn't accept it yet (see image below)
6 Customer account declined status Customer received an account invitation sent from Shopify admin and declined it (see image below)

βœ” Enable cooldown to avoid spamming subscribers.

βœ” Customize email details (subject line, sender name, reply-to address, and preview text).

βœ” Send a test email to preview it in a real inbox (only for emails under your store’s domain).

πŸ”Ή Choose to send the campaign immediately or schedule it for later.


Canceling a Scheduled Campaign

  1. Go to the list of campaigns.
  2. Tick the checkbox for the campaign you want to cancel.
  3. Click the three-dot menu, then select "Cancel Campaign".

⚠ Important: Sent emails cannot be canceled or retracted.
