Which discount applies when offers target the same products?
Vitals discounts are applied at checkout as Shopify automatic discounts. When two or more offers that discount products (such as Volume Discount, Product Bundle or Buy X Get Y) discount the same product, only one discount applies to that product: the larger one. Offers that discount different products in the cart can apply together.
Do Spending Goal offers compete with other offers?
Not by default. A Spending Goal is an order discount, so it can apply together with product discounts such as a bundle or volume discount. The goal is measured on the cart total after those product discounts.
Which discount types your offers can combine with is set in Discount combinations, at the bottom of the discount card in any offer. It applies to all your offers.
When are cart suggestions hidden?
A cart suggestion only shows when its discount would really apply if the shopper adds the product. If another discount would stop it from applying, the suggestion is hidden, so shoppers aren't shown a discount they won't get.
Example
A Product Bundle gives $10 off A + B ($100 together). A Spending Goal gives $5 off when the cart reaches $100.
