Ask for a review after delivery (Order Tracker)
Last updated on October 13, 2026
The best moment to ask for a review is a few days after the parcel arrives, not a fixed number of days after the order. Vitals Order Tracker knows when a parcel is delivered. This flow starts in Klaviyo on that moment, waits 3 days, and asks for a review.
💡 Before you start: Klaviyo must be connected through the new connection. If you have not set up Klaviyo events yet, read Send Vitals events to Klaviyo first.
ℹ️ Using Vitals Product Reviews request emails? Product Reviews can already send review request emails on its own. Use one or the other, not both, so customers are not asked twice: either turn off the automatic review request emails in Product Reviews, or skip this flow.
1. Turn on Order Tracker events in Vitals
Go to Integrations, find the Klaviyo card, and under Klaviyo events turn on Order Tracker events. Select Save.
The metric Shipment Delivered appears in Klaviyo after the first tracked parcel is delivered.
2. Create the flow in Klaviyo
- In Klaviyo, go to Flows and select Create flow. Build it from scratch and name it, for example "Review request after delivery".
- Choose Metric as the trigger and pick Shipment Delivered (it has the Vitals icon).
- Optional: if you also send Review Submitted from Product Reviews, add a flow filter Review Submitted zero times since starting this flow, so people who already reviewed are skipped.
3. Wait 3 days, then send the email
Add a Time delay of 3 days, then an Email.
Example email:
Subject: How are you finding your order #{{ event.order_number }}?
Your order arrived a few days ago. We'd love to know what you think:
{% for item in event.items %}
[Image: {{ item.product_image_url }}] {{ item.product_title }}
{% endfor %}
It takes a minute and helps other shoppers decide. Write a review (link the button to the product page on your store, where the review form is).
Useful properties on Shipment Delivered
- order_number, order_id
- items (each with product_title, quantity, product_image_url), item_names, items_count
- delivered_at, transit_days, carrier_name, tracking_url
Good to know
- An order shipped in several parcels sends one Shipment Delivered per parcel. Turn on Klaviyo's Smart Sending for the email, or set the flow so a person can enter it only once in a few days, to avoid two requests for one order.
- Klaviyo only emails profiles that can receive marketing email.
