Tell wishlist savers about a price drop (Wishlist)
Last updated on October 13, 2026
A product a shopper saved and then got cheaper is one of the strongest reasons to buy. This flow starts in Klaviyo when Vitals Wishlist finds a lower price on products a shopper saved, and emails them the products with the old and new prices.
💡 Before you start: Klaviyo must be connected through the new connection. If you have not set up Klaviyo events yet, read Send Vitals events to Klaviyo first.
1. Turn on Wishlist events in Vitals
Go to Integrations, find the Klaviyo card, and under Klaviyo events turn on Wishlist events. Select Save.
The metric Wishlist Price Dropped appears in Klaviyo after Vitals first finds a lower price on a saved product.
2. Create the flow in Klaviyo
- In Klaviyo, go to Flows and select Create flow. Build it from scratch and name it, for example, "Wishlist price drop".
- Choose Metric as the trigger and pick Wishlist Price Dropped (it has the Vitals icon).
- Optional: add a trigger filter max_drop_percent is at least 10, so small changes do not send an email.
3. Add the email
Add an Email right after the trigger: a price drop is worth sending while it lasts.
Example email:
Subject: Something on your wishlist just got cheaper
Good news: prices dropped on items you saved.
{% for item in event.items %}
{{ item.product_title }}: was {{ item.price_old }}, now {{ item.price_new }} ({{ item.drop_percent }}% off) · link to {{ item.product_url }}
{% endfor %}
Prices like these don't last.
Useful properties on Wishlist Price Dropped
- items, each with product_title, price_old, price_new, drop_percent, product_url
- items_count, max_drop_percent
Good to know
- One event lists every saved product that dropped at the same time, so a storewide sale sends one email, not ten.
- Wishlist events are sent only for shoppers who were logged in to their customer account when they saved products.
- The same setup works for scarcity: trigger on Wishlist Item Low In Stock, whose items carry stock_remaining.
