Thank happy reviewers (Product Reviews)

When a customer leaves a good review, thank them while they still remember the product, and ask for one more thing: a photo, or a friend who might like it too. This flow starts in Klaviyo every time Vitals Product Reviews receives a review rated 4 or 5 stars.
💡 Before you start: Klaviyo must be connected through the new connection. If you have not set up Klaviyo events yet, read Send Vitals events to Klaviyo first.
1. Turn on Product Reviews events in Vitals
Go to Integrations, find the Klaviyo card, and under Klaviyo events turn on Product Reviews events. Select Save.
The metric Review Submitted appears in Klaviyo after the first new review. Imported reviews do not send events.
2. Create the flow in Klaviyo
- In Klaviyo, go to Flows and select Create flow. Build it from scratch and name it, for example "Thank happy reviewers".
- Choose Metric as the trigger and pick Review Submitted (it has the Vitals icon).
- Add a trigger filter: rating is at least 4.
- Optional: add a second trigger filter photo_included equals false, so you only ask for a photo from people who did not add one.
3. Add a short delay and the email
Add a Time delay of 1 day, so the thank-you does not arrive in the same minute as the review. Then add an Email.
Example email:
Subject: Thank you for your review, {{ event.reviewer_name|default:'friend' }}
We read your review of {{ event.product_title }} and it made our day. Thank you for taking the time.
Got a photo of it in use? Reply to this email with it and we may feature it on our store.
Know someone who would love it too? Forward this email to them.
Useful properties on Review Submitted
- rating (1 to 5), review_text, reviewer_name
- product_title, product_id
- photo_included, video_included, verified_buyer
Use them in the email as {{ event.product_title }} , and so on.
Good to know
- Review Submitted is sent for every new review, whether it is published automatically or waits for your approval.
- Klaviyo only emails profiles that can receive marketing email. Reviewers who never subscribed skip this flow.
