Changing a Vitals App’s Location on the Homepage for Non-OS 2.0 Themes

👉 Note: This option and procedure is only applicable for stores that have a non-OS 2.0 published theme. If your theme is already categorized as an OS 2.0 theme, you can move the Vitals apps around on your homepage using your Shopify Theme Editor.

If your Shopify store uses a non-OS 2.0 theme, you can reposition Vitals app features on your homepage by using the Advanced section settings. This option is not necessary for OS 2.0 themes, as you can move apps via the Shopify Theme Editor instead.

Steps to Move Vitals App Features

Access App Settings
- Go to the settings of the Vitals app feature you want to move (e.g., Product Reviews Carousel).
- Locate the Publish and Position section.
  Expand Advanced Options
- Click on the Show Advanced Options dropdown to reveal additional settings.
  Select the Homepage Section
- A dropdown will appear listing all the identified section names on your homepage.
- Select the name of the section you want the app feature to be near.
  Fine-Tune the Position
- Specify whether the app feature should appear below, above, or inside the selected section.

Identifying the Correct Section Name

To find the name of the desired section on your homepage:

Right-Click on the Section
- On your homepage, right-click inside the section where you want the app to appear as a nearby element.

  Inspect Element
- Choose Inspect from the context menu to open your browser’s Developer Tools.
- The section name will be displayed in the highlighted element within the Developer Tools panel.

Note: The instructions above are for the Chrome browser. The process may differ slightly in other browsers.
