Editing the Product Reviews
We know how important it is to keep your product reviews accurate and helpful for your customers. Sometimes, you might need to tweak a review by adding more details or updating information if the reviewer requests it. No worries! This guide will walk you through the easy steps to edit product reviews in your store.
💡 Only edit reviews that you have the visitor's consent. To ensure accuracy and compliance with Shopify's Acceptable Usage Policy, a confirmation of acquired consent is asked to finalize editing a review.
Shopify does not allow the display of fake/manipulated reviews according to their Acceptable Use Policy.
- Go to the review that you would like to edit by going to the Product Reviews app and proceeding to the Reviews tab, then selecting a product:
- Click on the Pencil icon of the review you would like to edit:
- A window will appear that will let you modify the selected contents of the review. Some of the types of information that you can modify are:
- Reviewer Name
- Date of Review
- Email Address
- Review Content
- Once satisfied with the changes, ensure that you have consent from the reviewer by ticking the appropriate checkbox and clicking the Update button.
Adding Photos to Reviews
If your customers sent additional photos to their reviews and you would like the photos to be attached to the review, you can simply click the photo of that review in your Product Reviews app. A window will appear that will allow you to upload additional photos.
You can also delete photos this way by simply hovering your mouse pointer on the photo you would like to delete and clicking the trash can icon:
