We know how important it is to keep your product reviews accurate and helpful for your customers. Sometimes a review you imported needs a small fix, such as a typo or a wrong translation. No worries! This guide will walk you through the easy steps to edit product reviews in your store.

1. Go to the review that you would like to edit by going to the Product Reviews app and proceeding to the Reviews tab, then selecting a product:

2. Click the Edit review (pencil) icon on the row of the review you would like to edit:

3. A window will appear that will let you modify the selected contents of the review. Some of the types of information that you can modify are:

• • Reviewer Name
  • Date of Review
  • Email Address
  • Review Content

4. Once satisfied with the changes, ensure that you have consent from the reviewer by ticking the appropriate checkbox and clicking the Update button.

Deleting Reviews

To delete one review, go to Product Reviews → Reviews, open the product if needed, and select Delete review on the review's row. Confirm that the review shown in the confirmation is the one you want to delete.

You can also select multiple reviews and use the bulk delete action. On a product page, the confirmation shows the product and the number of selected reviews that will be deleted.

To delete every review for one product:

1. Go to Product Reviews → Reviews and open the product.
2. Open More actions.
3. Select Delete all reviews for this product.
4. Check the product name and review count in the confirmation. This action also deletes the reviews' photos and videos.
5. If the product has five or more reviews, type DELETE to enable the deletion button.

Product-wide deletion runs in the background. While Deleting [n] reviews… appears, do not start the deletion again. Import and other product-page actions are unavailable until it finishes, and you will receive an email when the deletion is complete.

After reviews are deleted, the product's rating and review count are recalculated from the published reviews that remain. If the product has no reviews left, published or unpublished, its rating is also removed from Shopify.

Adding Photos to Reviews

If your customers sent additional photos or videos for a review, go to Product Reviews → Reviews, open the product, then click the review's Media cell (image icon). Select Update media, then choose Add image or Add video and click Save.

You can add up to 5 images per review (JPG, PNG, or WebP; up to 10 MB each). To add videos, first turn on Allow customers to upload videos in Product Reviews → Settings → Write a review → General. You can add up to 5 videos per review, up to 200 MB each.

You can also delete photos this way by simply hovering your mouse pointer on the photo you would like to delete and clicking the trash can icon.
