How to Add a Theme Section to Your Shopify Store

New in Vitals: Theme Sections

Vitals allows you to seamlessly incorporate theme sections into your Shopify store. These reusable building blocks can be added, rearranged, and customized to improve the layout of your online store.

Vitals theme sections are compatible with Online Store 2.0 themes and allow you to create attractive and engaging pages by integrating them into your existing theme.

Currently, the following theme sections are available for you to install on your active theme:

• Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
  • Deliver straightforward answers to frequently asked questions, helping users easily locate the information they seek.
• Featured Products Carousel
  • Manually select products you want to promote and create a Featured Products Carousel that can be placed on any page.
• Collection Products Carousel
  • Showcase products from a collection in a fully customizable carousel that can be placed on the homepage or any page.

How to add a section

Step 1: Choose a Section

Start by choosing a theme section that you wish to add to your store. This can be seen by going to Vitals app's Widgets section > Theme Sections tab:

Once there, simply choose the theme section you would like to add to your theme by clicking its See more info button:

Step 2: Install the Section

Once you found the theme section you like, click on the button labeled Install on my theme to install the section into your published theme.

Step 3: Add the Theme Section to your Store

After installation, you can now add the section to your Shopify store via the Shopify Theme Editor. The new section will appear in the same place as other sections in your theme.

Simply select that installed section, and you will see it on your Shopify Theme Editor instantly.

After doing this, you can freely move and customize the newly installed section around on your page, just like any other pre-included section in your theme. Each section comes with multiple customization options, such as colors, fonts, spacing, and flexible content blocks.

Frequently Asked Questions [FAQs]

I inserted the FAQs Theme Section to my page, but I would like to add images inside the answers. How can I do that?

At the moment, the FAQs Theme Section only supports text.

I changed themes, but now I cannot see the the Vitals theme section I previously added in the Shopify Theme Editor. How can I add it back?

If you changed themes, you need to install the theme section again by going to the Widgets section of the Vitals app > Theme sections and choosing the section you want to install.
